Scripture Text: "As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated".Romans 9:13 (KJV)

I want you to meditate deeply on this article. God may be talking to you about your present situation. We know God's will for us is perfect.

A thought of God and not evil, with a glorious hope and fulfilling destiny in life. But eventually, God desires growth for all that He has begotten in Christ.

Today's topic is:Why God Disciplines You (His Beloved).

Our Scripture text says,

"As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated".Romans 9:13 (KJV)

Now we have to ask ourselves these questions;

1.  How did God exhibit his hatred or wrath toward Esau?

2. How did God exhibit his love toward Jacob?

It is very important that every child of God comprehends this, it will help you.

This will teach us something about our Father and God.

Esau

If you look at the life of Easu, you will observe that God did fulfill all the promises concerning him

  • He blessed Esau with wealth
  • He blessed him with power
  • Esau became a great leader of a great nation.

He was rich and hallowed on every side But God said Esau I hate.

So, how did God manifest his hatred toward Esau? Let's see;

  • God never disciplined Esau, he let Esau be whatever he wanted to be,
  • God never at any point for any reason intervened in Esau's life.
  • He did not work in any way to make Esau holy. God simply cut the rope and let Esau go. To live exactly as he wanted.

Jacob

Now, how did God demonstrate his love toward Jacob?

  • He beats Jacob every day of his life.
  • God would not allow Jacob to be what he wants to be.

Jacob was once a deceiver, even when he became a son. God still took some while to change his life into that of a prince.

When you take a look at Jacob's life, you will notice he suffered a lot of trials and saw many challenges in his life.

"The fining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the LORD trieth the hearts."-Proverbs 17:3 (KJV)

Even when he received the promised land, he entered the land limping. This is amazing to see in someone who is loved by God.

This Is What You Should Know

God disciplines only those he loves. And He cannot bless you until He makes you. Trials and Challenges are the ways God proves his beloved.

God's Goal

The goal of God in your life it may surprise you to know isn't prosperity, wealth, health, and of course, not the best life you dream of.

God's goal, if you belong to him as a child is to make you holy, to conform you to the image of His dear son; Jesus Christ.

He will cleanse you from all of your filthiness and idolatry, and He will be very serious in doing that,

"For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he received".-Hebrews 12:6 (KJV)

God will do everything necessary to make sure you are conformed to the image of Christ

And that He may be doing now in your life.

God chastens and disciplines whom He loves.
