Our Father and God as we have seen in the scripture, framed the whole world with His word. The Biblical account of creation in the book of Genesis, where God called forth all that He imagined by the words of His mouth, “God said” (Genesis 1:3,6,9,11,14,20,24,26). Also, the Bible says, “Through faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that the things which are seen were not made of things which do appear”. – Hebrew 11:3

God lives in Dominion, He reigns in Dominion, He is Dominion, He is the only supreme being and as a result, everything submits to Him. He calls forth the physical, the material world out of nothing, there is nothing impossible with God, “And Jesus looking upon them saith, with men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible”. – Mark 10:27. God is the impossibility specialist.

The last of the “God said” in the event of creation is in Genesis 1:26 which says, “And God said, let us make man in our image after our likeness and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth”.

This is marvelous assurance; that God has made you share in his power of dominion; He created you a human spirit and has put you in the world to rule and be in charge. God has done all things well if you understand that;

·     You are created in His image (He lives within you)

·    You have been given power and dominion to reign as kings on the earth (staff of authority)

And after the making of man as God purposed in His heart, He then pronounced His plan and Will on man, “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth”. – Genesis 1:28

God’s Word And Blessing Are Potent And Eternal

His gift and blessing are without repentance. Whatever the LORD has done is forever, he won’t take back what he has given, and He is not a man that He should lie to His Children. His words don’t fail, they are potent and creative.

Whatever He confers or pronounces on you is what you are, a child of dominion, a king, and a priest because they are His will, He created you in His image, to reign, that it might be to His glory.

“If he called them gods unto whom the word of God came and the scriptures cannot be broken”. -John 10:35

Are you seeing this with me? That by the virtues of God’s blessing and extension of His dominion, as aforementioned in the beginning (Genesis 1:28) you have become a god, and God does not change.

You have been made to be a god to the entire creation entire oceans, the land, and the air, God gave you dominion to rule over them all, according to His word in Genesis 1:28, “God said”, and none of His words shall fail, nor shall any want her mate, they must all be gathered, and made to be (Isaiah 34:16).

But Satan saw all these, that God has given to man, and became envious. Then Satan in his subtility came to Eve Adam’s wife and deceived her, Adam too became a victim, and this led to the fall of man from his God-ordained place. And man lost his place to Satan.

As a result of disobedience, to divine instruction, whereby Adam and Eve ate of the tree the Lord afore-time forewarned them not to eat from, they sinned.

Adam’s sin became ours, and Adam’s suffering became our suffering. That was how one man’s sin and disobedience became everyone’s offense.

But in the process of time, our heavenly Father for Love’s sake, sent His only begotten Son: Jesus Christ to redeem you back and all that the enemy (devil) the thief (John 10:10a) stole from Adam, and to return all the divine and glorious heritage.

The scripture says, “Whereas by one man sin entered into the world and death by sin, and so death upon all men for that all have sinned”. – Romans 5:12

This is the mystery of iniquity which God did away with in Christ, “for as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous”. – Romans 5:19

Your Sins Are Done Away With In Christ

This mystery of sin was done away with in Christ, and sealed by the shedding of his blood and through his death, “But this man (Jesus Christ) after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever sat down on the right hand of God”. – Hebrews 10:12

This is the New Testament, an eternal covenant. So, you are now redeemed back to your original place in God, to dominion as aforementioned in the beginning when man was made, in Genesis 1:28. And remember that God does not change, He abides ever faithful.

Knowledge Is Fundamental In your Walk With God

I simply started this article this way, so that you can depict your place and know your stand in Christ. Because a lot of believers hardly understand the finished works of God in Christ, and as such are still dangling in their faith.

Many of the believers live in absolute doubt, even though are assumed to be Christians. And with a keen observation, I found out they fall into three different categories which I will discuss in this article: The three kinds of believers we find in the body of Christ.

Let’s now Look At these three categories of Believers so you can find your place:

1.  The Militating Believer

The word militating by definition means; fighting for a course, striving or combating a situation in your effort. But the militating believer I speak here honestly is born again and believes that Jesus is the Lord and Savior. However, he/she has insufficient knowledge of the finished works of God.

This fellow doesn’t have the conviction of what God can do, he/she still feels they have to attain and accomplish whatever thing they want by the strength of the arm, that is they must fight to win. There is little trust in God and more abundance of belief in self-help.

Moreover, the scriptures state clearly for us to know; that we can’t win any battle in this world without the help of God, no man prevails by his strength in this evil world whether by the strength of the arm or trusting in your understanding. Our weapons of warfare are mighty in God. (see 2 Cor.10:3-4).

Also, the prophet Jeremiah affirms it here, “O LORD, I know that the way of a man is not in himself: it is not I man that walkest to direct his steps” – Jeremiah 10:23.

Because you have a leg, doesn’t guarantee you will find the true path, probably you are very outstanding intellectually, but that’s not the basis for God’s leading and blessings, even though they are good to have. So, the weapons of our warfare are mighty through God!

Hannah’s Quest For A Child

I know you are conversant with the pathetic story of Hannah, the first wife to Elkanah, the other wife’s name is Peninnah. So, Peninnah had children but Hannah had none. Elkanah goes to Shiloh to worship yearly with his household to seek God’s blessings and to offer sacrifice to Him.

Hannah would go to Shiloh and weep before the LORD, for shutting up her womb, and this was her attitude for many years, she was living in provocation and weeping. She would cry all through and wouldn’t eat a thing. (see 1Samuel 1:1-7)

But the question is; does God hearken to this approach in getting our prayers and desires answered? What is your take?

Hannah vowed to the LORD

Recall that before now, Hannah sought the blessing of the womb (a baby) for many years, but in vexation and weeping. Instead of approaching the throne with boldness believing she would receive her answers, rather she went into tears and complaints because she was provoked at the LORD for shutting her womb.

But in this particular year after many approaches, Hannah came to the LORD in boldness and much better countenance, and she did not only pray but vowed to the LORD.

And the LORD of course granted her request. In that year she received the answer, and Hannah testified of the LORD in these words, “He will keep the feet of his saint, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness, for by strength shall no man prevail”. – 1 Samuel 2:9

The battle you were meant to face in this world had been fought and won in Christ, you simply take your victory by faith, so you aren’t supposed to be militating, instead, you have been given victory, even if you weren’t the one who did the fighting, but someone did – Jesus Christ, through the finished works of the cross.

Many lack the knowledge of what God had done in Christ, though it is a mystery that now has been unraveled, knowledge is crucial if you must take your place and cease endless battles in life, the scriptures say, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue”. – 2 Peter 1:3.

What you should have is adequate knowledge of the will and purpose of God for your life, stop living in assumption, and start living by knowledge. Because Jesus has given you all things by his divine power, but when you lack this knowledge, you will keep living in ignorance, in blindness. Stop militating, start taking over.

All things that have to do with life; wealth, riches, provisions, and godliness (wisdom, knowledge, revelation, righteousness, and others) have been redeemed back to you in Christ through his divine power, not by power or might, neither by the strength of the arm, “for we wrestle not against flesh and blood”. – Ephesians 6:12

2.  The Defeated Believer

There is another set of believers; the defeated believers. Like the first category, the Christians here are also born again, they accept that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior, in other words, they also believe in the death and resurrection of the Messiah. But the issue with this set of Christians isn’t just that they are double-minded. These people hear the word of God but still live in a lot of doubt, they are double-minded, which leaves them not militating as the first group, but defeated because where there is no hope people perish.

They can be likened to the Israelites during the exodus from Egypt, where many of them were followers of Moses and hardly understood whom Moses followed. They saw Moses as the doer, instead of as God's vessel, and they reckoned him as a god. They couldn’t understand that the power of God was at work through him. They were blinded and lacked divine knowledge.

Moses tells them about the instructions and commandments of God, but they wouldn’t obey them because God is unseen, to them God is a mere illusion, Moses was seen as the god. And this was the reason they demanded a visible god (idle) “the calf” when it seemed Moses was gone from them. The Bible says, “For unto us was the gospel was preached as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it”. – Hebrew 4:2

So, this type of believer or person would hear the gospel but rarely believe nor put it to work, and we know, that the word of God cannot be broken. ”But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves”.- James 1:22

Many believers live in defeat, not because God is unfaithful, but for these;

  • Lack of faith or unbelief
  • Lack of knowledge of God’s plans and purpose (the Word).

Christ’s Victory Allows No Defeat

So, many are defeated because they refuse to accept the leading of God, instead, they determine how they want to go which ultimately continuously results in failure and more defeat since God’s presence is absent in guide. God’s word if you must know is the road map to the glorious destiny of all that trust and have faith in him, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path”.- Psalm 119:105

The scripture text of this article says, “Jesus said unto him if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth”. – Mark 9:23

Jesus is saying if you will accept him and believe in your heart all that he has done, nothing will be impossible with you. The scripture also says, “And Jesus looking upon them saith, with men it is impossible but not with God, for with God all things are possible”. – Mark 10:27

Man is limited because of doubt and unbelief, God is unlimited because He is ever faithful. Man is fallible, but God is infallible. So, defeat in life is a result of the absence of God’s presence in the affairs of one’s life. “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace, in the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33

Jesus Christ had overcome the world, and you are in the world. So, in him, you are an overcomer but only outside of him will you experience any defeats.

3.  The Triumphant Believer

The third set of believers is a special kind of people. The Christians that made it into this category evidently understand and believe in the finished works of God, they are not only truly born again but he/she know the assurance, believe the assurance, and live by the assurance (the leading by God’s word).  The Bible says, “And such as do wickedly do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits”. – Daniel 11:32

This believer is not just a mere hearer, he knows God, and His ways and is also a worker of the word. He is triumphant and does exploits by the leading of God. This Son does not subscribe to doing wickedly against God’s Will and purpose because he delights in His word.

This believer understands clearly the covenant. He is blessed as the psalmist puts it, ” Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper”.- Psalm 1:1-3

The characteristics of the triumphant are stated in the above scripture; viz

He Abhors iniquity of the following manners;

  • He does not walk with the ungodly and their wrong ways
  • He does not stand with the evildoers
  •  He does not sit with the scornful

He delights in the things of God

  • Loves the law (the word of God)
  •  Meditate on the law

There Is Triumphant Grace In Every Word You Obey To Do

“The people that do know their God shall do exploit”. Because he delights in the law of the LORD, He grants him all of the desires of his heart. This is the will of our Heavenly Father, He didn’t call us militating or defeated in Christ, rather He called us victorious and glorious in Jesus Christ. If only thou canst believe all things are possible, to him that believeth.

You were preordained for dominion, and to reign in life. But knowledge of the word is fundamental if you must live a triumphant life in this world, “And now brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified”. – Acts 20:32

The triumphant life is God’s design, and He finished the works and concluded it in Christ. So you have to start living in the Will of the Father which is the TRIUMPHANT living.

PRAYER

FATHER, IJN: I worship and thank you because of your finished works and the triumphant life I have been given in Christ.

FATHER, IJN: I receive the Spirit of revelation and wisdom to live always in the will of my heavenly father

FATHER, IJN: I resist every manipulation of the wicked trying to ruin my understanding of my place in Christ.
