SCRIPTURE: “Though thy beginning was
small, yet thy latter end shall greatly increase” – Job 8:7
The hardest decision to make in
life is; The decision to start or begin a thing from the scratch. The beginning
of any worthwhile venture seems to be the most difficult stage to embark on.
However, I know and will vouch for
the fact that “Every big thing in life started small”, and “Every large
enterprise once had a little start”. Also, there is of course a time for
everything under the sun, a time to sow seed, followed by the time to reap the harvest
from your seeds.
So, success in life is a journey
and there is no shortcut to achieving greatness, and no man was born great. Because greatness can only be achieved by
deliberate and conscious effort. Just as little seeds grow into large plants,
success in life grows in inches too.
Accomplishing great things takes
time to reach maturity, the exact way seeds are sown, and allowed a given time
to attain maturity. In the same way, any dream, or idea at its seed stage would
require patience, time, and diligence until it matures.
Your ideas and dreams are seeds at the
beginning. You must not let it die, no matter the tumult or discouragement that
life brings along the way of the journey.
Success does not just happen, it’s not a fluke and not a thing of chance. Anyone that hopes to accomplish great feats in life, must:
Have A Great Vision/Dream/Idea
Vision is where you see yourself,
even while you aren’t there yet. In simple terms, I will say it is a conceptual
view of a preferred future.
The path to greatness is filled with
thorns and it’s rough, you would require faith, and a resolute belief in your
dream because people will talk you down and life isn’t as easy as we think.
So, vision will help keep you on the path of your
journey. This is because if you can’t see anything, then God is limited! Let us
take a look at the Scripture. This conversation was between God and a man;
“ Moreover
the word of the Lord came
unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said I see a rod of an almond
tree. Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to
perform it” – Jer 1:11-12 KJV.
Jeremiah first received a
vision, that was in line with God’s plan, we know this from God’s affirmation
of Jeremiah’s response to what he said he saw, ” Then said the Lord unto
me, Thou hast well seen” God was going to fulfill
His word, hastily because Jeremiah was in tune with God’s desire for his life.
In other words, God meant
to say - you are right, you have caught the light, this is my purpose for you, I
will help you accomplish it, I am not going to take your time further.
Believe in God’s Assurance (His Word).
Our scripture text says, “Though
thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.” –
Job 8:7. This is assurance, that God can’t lie. All you have to do is believe his promise. This also reminds us
of the power of starting small, and its dynamics in God. It continues to grow until
it reaches stardom. Hear this,
“But the path of the just
is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” -Prov.
4:18
So, beloved as you
journey you have to understand that achieving anything worthwhile in life
starts small and gradual. It isn’t power or might.
Remember as you journey
in life that, a man’s strength is limited!
“He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in
darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.”- 1 Sam 2:9
God has purposed to help make your journey end well, yes! It may be
tough, but in the end, it will speak of victory. Recall the wilderness
experience of the Israelites?
But in the end, they possessed the land of promise. Don’t let anyone lie to you about any easy way, no way is easy.
But God assures us of a way in the wilderness and even waters in the
desert, and He did it for His children and He will make it happen for you.
Don’t look down on this phase of
your life, or neglect it. It is the seed time of your destiny and life purpose.
Paul talking about this in the word said, “I have
planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.”. –
1 Cor.3:6.
So, don’t be weary, keep doing
your best for in due season you would reap. God loves seeds, He works with our
seed time so that He can turn them into our bumper harvest.
He did the same for, Abraham,
Isaac, Jacob, and the Israelites. He is the same God who never changes.
Faith Also Means To Work
Your days of little beginning are
very important, even though life started small. Every baby was once a fetus, every
child was once a baby, and every adult was once an adolescent.
Life is in phases, understand this. So, you have to believe in God and the evidence of your faith is work. Work to accomplish what you hope to see.
God worked to make happen His idea to frame the human world in six days, Jesus worked while he was in the world, and all the apostles worked.
This is because it is in working that you unleash the
inner you, the wisdom, creativity, and innovations that reside within you. It
is work that works it out.
“Wealth is not in the external world out there, wealth is in the internal world, within you”
Every journey in life requires a step to kick start, even that of a million miles starts with a step. Great things start from small, almost insignificant beginnings.
Someone said,
“little by little is a great lea way of success”
And the Bible says, “By
little and little, I will drive them out before you until you have increased
enough to take possession of the land”- Exo. 23:30
God is committed to helping you fulfill your dream, but it isn’t rocket science. You need faith and to work patiently with God. You are permitted to think global but for now, you have to start little and work with the little resources you have.
Don’t look around you, remember
Jesus looked ahead, and he is your model, don’t allow distraction, don’t compare
yourself, and develop and equip yourself to become valuable.
Begin with what you have from
where you are, do it diligently, and ensure to keep advancing in knowledge and
capacity.
This is how success is attained. Learn and study, the largest room in life isn’t in any place, the largest room in life is the room for improvement. The Bible says,
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth
not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”-2
Tim.2:15
You empower yourself by learning, knowledge is power. If you must be made in life, then you must be first self-made.
Application of knowledge is work; this makes you super-powerful. If your life
must count then you need an open mind towards knowledge and apply what you have
learned.
Be virtuous
You must be spiritual because
carnality and evil won’t bring you good. Be humble for God shows grace to the
humble children. Be meek, and teachable. Be prayerful and loving towards
others.
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and
with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for
God was with him.” -Acts. 10:38
Jesus Christ our Lord only loves to do good,
there is no evil in him. No wonder the Father has highly exalted him.
So, beloved, the path to your glory irrespective
of the size of the beginning is by God’s design and leading.
“I will instruct thee and
teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye” -Psalm
32:8

Are you Born again.? Everyone born of God is an
over-comer, nothing will keep or hinder them from fulfilling their preordained destiny.
So, Say this prayer if you have decided for Jesus,
and I believe your life will not remain as it is again.
“There Lord Jesus, forgive me my sins, I believe
that you died for me and that you were buried, and on the third day you rose
from the dead. I accept you as my Lord and savior. I am born again”. Thank you,
Jesus Christ. Amen
Congratulation. And Remain Born Again!

and leading in life, and always keep me on the right path.
FATHER, IJN: By the Blood of
Jesus, I destroy every devourer and enemy of vision and dreams, I declare that
my vision must speak.
